Christmas 2007

We are checking out our stockings......I know something good is in there!

mmm.....I love bones-----------If you touch this bone I will get you!

Maybe if I hide under the tree no one will find me and I can chew my bone in peace!

Nase and I had a very nice Christmas. It could have been better if we would have gotten more bones and toys but I suppose we got enough. As you can see by the pictures we got our stockings full of toys and some bones and then we got a present that was stuffed full of toys. We have spent every minute since we got them trying to destroy them, but then what else is a pug to do? Nase got a bit defensive when I tried to steal the last part of his bone and he growled at me but who could ever stay made at this face? We have since made up but I will probably wait a few days before trying to steal a bone from him again. Merry Christmas everyone! We hope it was great for all of you!

Our new life

Sorry for not posting much lately. Our masters have been kind of busy if you can tell by the pictures. It has been a big adjustment around here. Pugs don't really like to share and that is what we have to do. You see our humans brought home this really small moving thing that smells like them and makes really loud high pitch noise. At first we liked to sniff and lick him and now we are being told "that's enough" a lot. We don't really appreciate being told not to do something. We have had free reign of this place for a while now and don't really like it that it has stopped. We now have to wait for permission to jump up on laps and furniture and we have to share the sidewalk with a stroller when we walk. This is no life for a pug. On the bright side they keep promising us that he will play with us soon and that he will love us and we will learn to love him too. Even though I don't want to admit it (Nase) I do love him. When he is in a different room from my parents I sit in the hallway between them so I can keep my eye on the both and protect them. And when he cries and my parents are in another room I will go in there and try and alert them of the noise. We are learning, except for Tatze who just keeps trying to be there favorite. The other good thing is that his hands and feet taste good and we both try to steal a lick whenever we get the chance and before we are told "thats enough". Thats all for now. Sorry for the delay in postings, it takes a lot of convincing to get our masters to update our blog and not theirs!

Smoking Tatze Out

My sister likes to hide under the bed when we are playing. She runs under there for safety. Little does she know that I can fit under there, but I am not nearly as fast as her once I get under the bed. Thats cause I'm a fatty. I usually bark like crazy and inch under the bed until I can smoke her out. Once she is out all hell brakes loose and she comes at me as you can see by the bottom picture. Don't worry I can hold my own, I just like to make her think she can win.

Our New Addition

Playing in Styrofoam
I was very curious when I found out we were getting a new kitchen table. It had been wrapped in some styrofoam and I wanted to see what it was. The static electricity made it stick to my face. Don't worry, my masters came to the rescue before I ate it.
Our new addition
As you can see one of our masters is getting fatter. You can tell by the fact that our paws rest nicely on her belly. I can say the we were pretty happy when started noticing the "bulge". We thought this meant more laying around the house eating snacks. Unfortunately for us we were told that a baby is on the way. We are not really sure what this all entails, but if it means less attention for us then we are not happy about this news what so ever. I thought when Tatze came around that that was bad enough, but a loud boring baby, geez what are they trying to do to us! We are happy that we have until September but they are working with us constantly to keep us from jumping, licking, and behaving badly. This is no news a pug wants to hear. They are trying to tell us we have to change our behavior but I don't understand why the baby doesn't have to adjust to us. I mean come on! Look at these faces, you don't get cuter than that. Not even a baby boy! So as you can see our lives have not been so "puggy" lately. Baby changes are tough. Our masters are trying to make us realize that we are still a part of the family, we just need to learn to milk it for all it is worth while we can.

Sun Bathing

This is us doing what we do best, resting.

Sunbathing

Trying to catch some ZZZ's away from Tatze

These are our new toys we got at the Pug Club meet up. We love them. I especially love the stuffed pug. I like to chew on the pugs eyes. I also enjoy finding the squeaker. My mom likes it when I find the squeaker as well.

After a long day of doggie play. We love eachother....sometimes.

Omaha Pug Club meetup

Us with our Dad. We were exhausted at this point. All that sniffing can tire a pug out.

(Nase)As you can see, I am busy making my pug rounds. I enjoyed all the sniffing that went on.

This is me (Tatze) checking out the other pugs. I was scared at first when we got there and I kept jumping on this lady's lap for safety. I don't know why I am such a chicken. By the time I get warmed up my mom and dad tell me it is time to go. I think I just like the attention I get when I act like a scared rat.

Our Baby Turned One!

It's my Birthday! (yesterday anyway) I am one! I was naughty on my birthday. I thought it was a free day for me and I thought that it meant I could pee where ever I wanted. So I left a nice present for my mom and dad on the rug by the door to go out. Naughty me.
This is me eating my birthday meal. Mom and dad got us canned moist dog food for dinner. Of course it was the lowfat healthy kind, but what do we know, we are pugs, we think the inside of our ears taste good. My brother got to share the food with me as well. My parents didn't' think it was fair for me to get something and not him. Plus I got to have some of his birthday treats too! Just a side note to this: Usually I am the top dog around here. I boss my brother around and I get the best toys and bones and things. But when we were both eating our dinner my brother showed me a side I have never seen. You see, I am crazy eater. I usually inhale my kibble whole and fast. No chewing for me. I also go so crazy that the bowl doesn't stay on the mat. I usually push the bowl past the water and over to my brothers bowl. (my parents even tried buying weighted) That is what I did this night and I guess he felt that it was a little to close for comfort for him and he growled at me. See the other annoying thing I do is that I eat in 10 seconds and he eats in 10 minutes. So I patiently wait until he is done and then I ravage his bowl incase he left the smallest of morsels. I think he was afraid I was going to do that a little prematurely. Don't worry my parents saved me. They picked me up and moved my bowl over away from his and we both finished our delicious meal.
This is me with one of my new toys. I got 3! Really I am supose to share, but my brother is a pansy so I take what I want.
(Tatze) What? He was in my spot, so I showed him!
(Nase) Here she goes again. Just wait, one day I will show her!
